has anyone ever rebuilt there tranny themselves. i need to replace my differential and terry h sent me an email saying that i couldnt do it without a shimmy and a machine press. i sent him an email back asking bout it but he hasnt responded. i know he knows more bout this than anyone i was just wondering if anyone else has done it before

You need to get a factory manual (they are easy to find on CD) and study the process to see if you are comfortable with it. You must set up the final drive similar to any other differential. If you are not comfortable with that, you should not attempt the project.

correctomondo....and the haynes book isnt the best guide to work off either..very incomplete when it comes to this
