Some may have seem my previous posts about my car wiggling back and forth when I get on the gas and when I let off. This weekend I had the Cap guys help me out because everyone I talked to that didn't drive an SVT told me it was normal.

Andy stood about 15 yards in front of the car, I eased out the clutch and began rolling in first and then tapped the gas and the whole car jostled back and forth VIOLENTLY...he said it was scary as **** and that my engine was rotating backwards about 30-35 degrees! And the series of thumps that come with it are actually the engine SLAMMING AGAINST THE FIREWALL! Its done it ever since I got it so I never knew it was a problem until I got into petes car and it was as smooth as ever. Anyway we were thinking rear trans mount but it looked ok last time i checked but maybe I missed something...anybody have any input on this?

the other day in the shop i saw a duratech auto matic with a major clunking problem and the driver said that the car would handle oddly when accelerating.. we found that the right side cv shaft was not secured. what i mean is thers a bracket holding the carrier bearing(is that what its called) in the middle of the shaft that was just flopping around..is this secured to the block? your problem is definetly motor mounts but this problem gave some of the same symtoms that you describe..

96 zetec gl.dynomax exhaust(self bent) KKM intake..Bridgestone Potenza RE-910's...other mods also
87' Ford Thunderbird..Now my daily driver ( the wife uses the contour mostly) true dual exhaust with the super mystery mod.(hey there not even there!) tinted windows and stereo upgrade. the $200 car is starting to be a great car
