DIFFERENT!! I have seen that same front end on just about every car in existance. (no Lambos or Ferraris yet)
To me being DIFFERENT is doing something FEW people have, that is tasteful, classy and augments a car, not overpowers it.
I hope I don't offend anyone but living in central PA for the last 4 years has driven me insane. If I see another horrible rice minivan, honda, neon, cavalier, sunfire, grand am, etc. I am going to run it off the road destroying its 1000lb body kit in the process.
I have a Theory as to why this happens to cars. See people are too polite. If your buddy puts on a wing or transformers front end and says "how does it look?" You are gonna say "it looks cool, or thats different." You know it sucks but they just spent $1000 dollars to do it. The fart pipes are the same thing. You buddy askes "How do you like my exhaust?" You reply "its umm... loud, sounds like it is going really fast!" Of course in your mind you cannot even remotely reason why someone would want that horrid noise coming out of their car.
Other Theorys:
They were not given toys like Go bots and Transformers as a kid.
They were beaten and now they are lashing out
They are blind
They like to scare little kids with their car
They own a fiberglass company
They live in extemely windy areas and need the downforce
They like the attention of being made fun of
They were born TASTE blind
Drug usage by owner or parents
They are accident prone and need more protection
They hunt by running animals over with their front ends
They want extra protection from stone chips
I can't think of anymore right now
