Now that I think of it again, the wing was for one of my brother's friends. We put it on the next weekend. Sadly he totaled his car a few weeks ago doing some stunt on the highway. Someone cut him off, he flew by them and as he passed swerved into the other person's lane and then swerved back he went into a slide, over corrected and went around hitting the Jersey barrier, riding it for about 100 feet then bouncing off going across the 2 lanes of traffic hitting the other guard rail and boncing again to the other side to hit the jersey barrier and spin around parallel to the barrier facing traffic. No other cars were involved and he walked away from the wreck. No other people stopped with him so when the police arrived he said someone cut him off and he swerved into the breakdown lane to miss them and he lost control in the sand. He only received a warning but the experience has reformed his driving habbits.

His dad bought him the car he crashed, but when he had to get another becasue he crashed it his father only gave him half the money he received from the insurance company since was totaled.

He has no plans to perform exterior or performance mods on his new car.

hi all
Not to change the subject, but is there progress on ideas for a meet? Although I don't post much, I do frequent this board and it would be cool to have some beers and put faces to the names I read here. (hmm... I always seem to do that)

was thinking about this the other night

as it came up when Baco made the pole there was the idea of a meet in my area. Well on friday nights there is a local car show, not that large but still there is some intereting stuff. Anyway the cut off year is 78 so we could not go onto the show area with out cars but if we showed around 6-7pm there is a second front area that we could park. It is right by the entrance and we would be seen.

The reason I thought about this is I want my father to take his Boss 429 out at some point. when we did last year it was to this show. And I figure people might be interested in seeing it.

then afterwards we could head to the Berlin Turnpike to cruise a bit and laugh at rice.

After that who knows. COuld always run to the casinos from there or something

Two things...

(1) the word is "poll".

(2) If we showed for the meet, albeit seperately, might we rub the organizers wrong and piss people off? Kinda like stepping on toes 'n' stuff...

Just some thoughts...

After Sunday when I wash 'n' wax my car I'm up fer just about anything...

Watch it rain on Sunday...

maybe maybe not

I have seen often that people park there nicer cars in this area, often the are a few corvetts parted in this spot. and sometimes there are a few interesting cars just outside the show area that are interesting

Is it an "official" meet (kind of like when Worcester holds those car shows, or when Hebert's Candy Mansion has those meets)? Sounds interesting. Though personally I'm not a fan of older cars it'd be pretty nice to see.

yes it is an organized cruise night that occurs every friday evening when the weather turn good, although I don't think I have ever seen them cruise, just a name

there is often a interesting mix, mind everyone that it isn't a hugh show, maybe 50 cars or a bit more on a good summer night

it all started at the hotdog stand that is in town and has more a few feet down the road to outside of a shopping center for more space. There is a DQ here that sponcers and I know they make a killing on friday nights because of this

the show has a home town feel to it since mostly local people show and come to spectate

I think that show sort of start around 7, but if you drive by as early as four now there are a few cars there because the people always want "their spot"

J, that sucks about your bro's friend, but sometimes things like that do more good than harm in a way.....maybe that is the right "wake-up" call to get him to change his driving habits. Glad to hear he walked away from it OK....
