Th wash&wax thing sounds like a great idea, especially if the weather cooperates!! I would even offer to detail people's cars, as long as those who are interested gave me some $ for materials.

How about if we all go to the Smith and Wesson indoor range...I know I'm just throwing out my opinion, but it seems to be a popular common thread amongst some of us (firearms) and for those who haven't it would be educational. Everyone could meet over here for a "training" sesson of sorts before we head out.....just a thought.

I've mentioned many times that I'd love to go to a shooting range with you all as a meet.
bishop has mentioned the one in Manchester a couple times.

COOL!!! Kimmy's on board!!! Maybe we can rent that .500 S&W magnum at the range....at least have our pics taken with it. We'll just have to calm Elky down before he gets in the door. He'll see that case full of guns for rent, and he'll be like a kid with ADD in a candy store

Yep, Manchester Firing Line.

Nothing quite like lining up with a pod-mounted M60. Ahhhh... the joys of full auto firing.

Manch has a ton of good toys to try out... AR-15 variants, AK variants, .45's, Glocks, Des Eagles (6", multi-cals), and, of course, the ultimate bad boy for me, the H&K Mk 23 SOCOM .45CAL. You can even try with suppressor and LAM. I just want to take ONE shot from a locked slide....

i'm all about waxing and washing and driving.

much less about shooting.

with that said... "NECEG Show 'n' Shine" with a special viewing of the SZ02 video at some yet to be disclosed location.

why don't we work out the kinks of this meet as an intro to 2003 and then do the more centralized/localized ones later in the year.

the big question is WHERE? i was thinking maybe we could meet at my place and head off to Concord and check out that scene. lots of historic monuments and pretty scenery and it's pretty central to a lot of people. the only issue is that my apartment is not very easy to get to and i don't have a garage so people would have to park along the street (which is fine since it is a quiet side road). anyone else who lives near Concord want to host? or does someone have a better driving destination? maybe some place in Worcester with some "industrial" scenic shots? AFAIK that is fairly central to everyone.

or even Providence!? farther for the NH folks, but easier for the CT/southern MA folks. Dave & Busters, Federal Hill, and the Foxy Lady are some of the fine establishments which could be taken over......

I'm in for any of these. Haven't shot a gun in over 6yrs though!

Any Saturday before the end of April is out for me, unless it is later in the afternoon. I'm starting my final two classes for my bachelors degree and I have a Sat. class until 1:30pm, I think. Besides that, I think I'm clear!

I would be in for anything...I like the wash and shine idea

what about something down here in CT?

- Mystic is a very nice area
- The ride up to Lime Rock from my area on rte 7 is fun as long as there are not slow cars on the road
- the whole connecticut river area is very nice also
- up state CT past Lime Rock is a very senic area, but hard to do a circle around, would have to go into NY and MA, there is hiking in this area also
- you could circle CT on the major highway in two hours maybe
- more towards the summer the Berlin Turnpike would be hopping with cars(rice)
- what about F1 Boston that Baco mentioned before?
- some other go-kart track
