My friend just got a 1994 Stealth R/T. It is 3.0 FWD 5-Speed. I was just curious what would happen if we went to the track. His is stock, I have sho shop intake, gutted pre-cats, and optimized TB.
Thanks

I believe the r/t was only offered as a twin turbo and they run low 14s. I'm sure someone can be more precise.

yeah, he is right. I have been following dodge quite closely(my dad is a finance manager there). The R/T's only came in twin turbo and run low 14's. Hmmm, unless you are spraying i would go with the r/t. Too bad they don't make them anymore...they sure do look good.

my old room mate has a 94 R/T TT AWD and at the track best he was able to get was a 15.0 out if it it was stock and had a reacent tranny rebuild.... car was stock too.
2003 Subaru WRX some mods
Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem.

Base models had 160-165HP, the R/T had 222HP, and the R/T Turbo had 320HP (and AWD). The 222HP variant was pretty quick, probably looking at a 14.8-15.0s depending on driver and conditions.

The one problem with these cars is the fact that they transmissions don;t last long...you push them they go....my friend has rebuild alsmost 10 of them in the past 2 years 3 from the same guy...and i know it wasn;t driver error because the guy races vipers in SpeedVision Challange.
Its ahrd for me to say which car would win......But if its Turbo, id put my money on the Stealth... if you ahd suspension work done than you should be able to beat him in and oput of the turns.

With a proffesional driver his r/t which was offered in a 225hp engine, or the twin turbo 300-320hpengine 0-60 is 7.1, the same as a 98svt, his 1/4 mile 15.6,the turbo is of course way faster, where a 98svt is 15.4. So you should beat him with your mods, stock vs stock is a drivers race. I was going to buy a stealth before I found my svt, so please if you have any ? I will most likly be ablse to answer them. I studied that car. I raced one myself when I had my car for about a month. it was stock vs stock. It was at the lights going on to the highway, so we went from 0 to 120kph not mph. I know people don't support street racing, but to me I was going to giver no matter what, and he decided to join me. But I only one by a little more than a car length. I think that if we were to keep going I would really start to pull. But remember it is a drivers race. You have mods, so I think you would beat him easily. A rt tt would be a way different story. Ant the transmission thing was what stopped me. I almost bough a 93 twin turbo, but is around 6000cdn to get the tranny fixed.

My moneys on the Dodge. A buddy of mine bought a '93 R/T (non-turbo) like a week or two after I bought my '91 GT. He used to razz me b/c he made the same horsepower with two less liters. LOL We went at it a couple of times and he had no problem hanging with the Mustang.

dude your mustang must have been slow as hell then....or an auto...because when my 93 lx was bone stock(factory installed 3.73 gears)i smoked a guy in an r/t at memphis motorsports park he ran like a 15.2 or something like that to my 14.3...don't have the time slip anymore,so i'm not sure the exact times(but they were something similiar)not even close...the r/t's are way heavier than a fox stang, and have less torque, and should be way slower than a fox stang.....
and the twin turbo's weren't very fast either...when my lx had just the mentioned gears, march ram air, flowmaster exhaust,65mm tb,73 mm mass air, cobra intake,1.7 rocker arms, and pro 5.0 shifter i was running 13.3's to 13.5's,and the tt r/t's that used to frequent the track never ever ran anywhere near that fast....now that my stang is in the 12's i can hang with most of the stuff on the streets right now w/o any problems...
