Great--now the black 12-position connector on the engine wiring harness is falling apart. I disconnected it to put some connector grease on the terminals, and I noticed last night that it wasn't latching when I put it back together.
So I went out to buy some wire tie-wraps to hold it together and when I pulled it apart, the plastic insert in the female end came out! And now it won't stay in!
Normally this would be a minor problem since I could just get the Ford part number off the connector sleeve and get a replacement for a few bucks, pop the wires/terminals out and put them in the new connector sleeve, but.....
...There's NO FORD PART NUMBER ON IT!!! ARRGGHHH!!!
There IS an AMP part number on it, but I think the chances of a Ford dealer being able to cross that to a Ford part number are slim.
