Now for some pics of the rear lower motor mount that I replaced two weeks ago. You can clearly see the damage to the rubber inside the mount, which was basically torn apart. The result was the engine was rubbing against the subframe from sagging too much, causing a vibration that could be felt when making right hand turns and under hard acceleration. If your Contour has 100k miles or more, you should check these mounts out. The front mount was toasted too, but I didn't get a picture of it.





The mount on the right is the new front mount, sitting next to the old rear mount. They are slightly different, but it gives you an idea what they should look like new, and you can see how the old one is shot.
