I lost the spring action in my bullit mustang fuel door.
I'm assuming the screw poped out, but i didn't see anything laying around when i was getting gas.

could someone please take a pick of the hinge mechanism with the door open, so i can figure out what needs to be done.

I forget what it looked like when it worked.

any ideas on how to fix or am i screwed?

Man, that blows! I suggest you go to a Ford Dealership and take a look at one yourself. The only way for you to really be able to tell with accuracy.

I cannot understand how it may have popped out. When I was installing mine, I did all I could to remove the door, and came up empty. This baffles me...

I think i figured out what the problem is....I doesn't look like i lost anything...it looks like that black rubber piece that rubs the back hinge of the door seems to be pushed in and is not applying enough pressure to the door to keep the "spring action"

i'll have to play with it some more this week

thanks for the pic
