i'd follow this...when my atx went dead last yr the o/d didn't do any flashing at all...this problem occurs quite often around here and i've read more than once it was a fix such as this...crap or worn wires somehow interfere with the electronics of the atx...something like that...go to autozone or somewhere like that that will scan for codes for free or at less than what the dealer will likely charge to do it
