I just bought what appears to be the last ST200 UIM available retail in the free world! ($410 shipped from CTA Motorsports ?? Oh if I had just been around last fall for the group buys ). Incidentally, here is an email from Ford Parts Online:

??Hello James,
We sell the manifold for $581.48 plus $25.00 shipping for UPS Ground. This is the manifold you are looking for. Unfortunately it is on backorder at this time. We can special order it for you but it could take up to a month for us to receive it and the part must be paid for before we will special order it.?

$410 suddenly does not seem so bad!

I would also like to install a 2000 SVT LIM but I have reservations concerning my 1995 OBD1 vacuum secondaries. Has anyone successfully converted a SVT LIM for use with Vacuum secondaries on a 95 AND be willing to share the details. I think I also need 98 or later fuel rails, some injector harness re-wiring...What about just having my 95 LIM bored out to SVT diameter and installing bigger secondary throttle plates? Anyone with experience doing this?

Same guy withn real crazy idea ?? what about boring the 95 LIM out to 2000 SVT diameter and just using the stock 95 secondary butterflies as kind of an intermediate between having the right butterflies and pinning the secondaries open. How would this affect drivability? Less low RPM torque right? Would keep secondaries cleaner though I bet.

I have a 1995, I've got the 2000 SVT UIM and TB. Everything bolts right up except for the throttle cable. The SVT TB needs a throttle bracket. I bought an extra upper throttle control cable, cut off 4 inches of the metal sheath that surrounds the wire...and everything works fine.

As for the SVT LIM, I'm about to tackle this project. From what I can tell, you can remove the vacuum secondary brackets off the 95 LIM and then install this on the 2000 SVT LIM. This requires removing the butterfly valves, etc.

Also....you will need to have a 98 SVT return style fuel rail and injectors. You will have to splice the 98 SVT fuel injector connectors into your own fuel rail wiring harness. This is a tough job...as it will require 12 very good splices that are heat resistant.

I'm going to be doing this within the next month.....I'll fill everyone in to my progress.

Boring out would be a big pain. It's not straight through, it curves, and the diameter necks down as it approaches the heads.

It would be easier to adapt the linkage on an SVT LIM. No one has done it and shared any info. Ray McNairy did it, but he passed away before he got to share the details.

Lance - I have an extra 95 LIM in my garage and as far as I can tell it's a straight shot thru the manifold. I'm planning on having it bored out to SVT spec and using a set of SVT butterflies on the stock rods. If I can't come up with a set of those there is a local high performance machine shop that will cut new butterflies to spec.
To me that seems easier to do than to start swapping fuel rails, injectors, linkages, and such. Just R&R it for the old one and away you go...

I think even just optimizing the 95 lower (flatten the bars, shorten the screws, swap from button head to countersunk screws) would make a nice difference. Especialy since I've already removed all other intake and exhaust restrictions for the most part.
I think I'm going to try that first and dyno then see where I'm at before going bigger.

Hi Alex! Just received my heat shield yesterday!
Hi MystiqueSVT! Did you get your traction-control to work OK with your SVT TB?

I am not eager to swap those LIM related parts either. Theoretically, I guess I might see some improvement with 19# injectors (and the right MAF) but I really do not expect to max out the 95 17# injectors even with all my mods.

Alex, I??ll bet we have very equivalent mods. My engine mods look like this: Bosal CatBack, BAT High flow Y-pipe with cat, MSDS headers, ST200 UIM, 2000 SVT TB, KKM, Dtec Heat Shield, Super Chip. I also will be doing the usual AGSF32FM plugs, 9mm Ford Racing plug wires, DMD, metal impeller water pump, and if I stay with my 95 LIM I will send the injectors out for cleaning. So far all the new engine parts are sitting in boxes in my garage while I work on suspension and brakes. There is a local speed shop with dyno (Springfield Motorsports) that I will take my car to before I change any engine related components. I will return there after for custom chip tuning. It is really going to be fun to post the before and after dyno plots! I am hoping for 180+ FW HP and greatly increased torque when all is done (I do have an ATX).

Please keep us all informed on your LIM experiments. I am real receptive to having a 95 LIM modified. Alex, Depending on the route you take would you be interested in doing two of them? Hey, maybe this could be a niche market for Dtec Tuning! I wonder how many people are modifying 95's out there.

Those are NOT the usual or recommended plugs! Those are single platinums!

Go with either AWSF32PP or AGSF32PPM plugs. (Or APP764's of course)

$410 for 5hp!!!!!!! Somehow I don't see the logic there.

I agree... seems like a ton of money and time for nothing else than to be unique with what you did... just me.

Wow, good catch DemonSVT! I never even noticed the difference in part # (just read it off invoice when I posted).

I actually ordered via email "Motorcraft Fine Wire Platinum Spark Plugs, 95-01 2.5L V6 All, (610-AWSF32F), quantity: 6 plugs?

AGSF32FM432 is what is on the invoice and indeed what was sent.

The vendor is top notch (don't want to mention names here) so this must simply be a mistake. I will send email this morning asking for exchange.

I don??t want to change topic from SVT LIM on 95, but briefly what is the difference between these types of plugs (heat range)?
