I believe the 2.3 has 145 or so HP. I don't think it would be justified to swap out engines. I figured mine at the crank around 155 HP with a few mods.

yet look at all the V6 owners swapping out their 2.5's for 3.0's to get only a few hp.... remember brad noon was like 180's at SZ with his mods on it.... and with a few mods to the standard 2.5 they can be right around that too.

Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem.

but then they can add headers and svt intake manifolds, super charger, and have more power than a 2.5L, though zetecs are coooler.

Please say nothing when it is compleatly clear you have no clue what you are talking about... cause 1 that can all be done to the 2.5 and have not much less HP as I ALREADY stated in this thread

wtf? when building a performance car, a few extra horsepower can make the difference, and considering a 3L duratec starts off with 30 more HP than a standard 2.5L, that's a good bit of power. add svt parts, etc. and a 2.5L with same mods will be beat by the 3L. there is only so much you can do to a duratec, max out a 2.5L and max out a 3L, the 3L will have more power. now, tell me I have no clue about what I'm talking about.
