Earlier today I was on an empty, open road and decided to open up my 98 SE Sport V6 MTX, and I was impressed with the acceleration, of course until it stopped at 113mph. Does anyone know of a cheap, and/or easy way to get this thing off? I don't travel that fast all the time, but going 130mph does seem like too much of a teaser. Please help, any/all info would be great. Thanks -JasonJ

How much do superchips usually run? I'm pretty sure they're costly. Is there any other cheaper way to get rid of the limiter?

If you find the line to the VSS(Vehicle speed sensor)then put a cut off switch there....every time you want to go fast hit the switch and you can but your speedo wont work during that period but it comes back after youhit the switch again

If you plan on overriding the speed limiter, get tires rated for the speed you're going to do. Speed safely ......

All drivability dissapears when you disable or dissconnect the VSS... I wouldn't suggest doing that. It is an easy way of doing it, but on the fly, I wouldn't want to try it.

Chip: superchip is more expensive but IMO is worth it,,at least it is to me,,the diablo chip is about half the price of the superchip and is supposed to remove speed limiter also.
I drive a Ford, what else do you need to know??

Does the Diablo chip remove the speed limiter too? I'm not really worried about getting performance gains and lowering my gas mileage, im in college and struggling for money, but i just want to get rid of my speed limiter for whenever i need, or want too. thanks -JasonJ
