I do gutted precats on a core exchange basis. PM me if you're interested in costs.

Thanks,
Rick

Do cats really get plugged anymore? I was under the impression that they basically break apart/disintegrate these days, unlike the old pellet-style cats which would melt and clog.

Rick,

When you said "gutted", is it replaced with a new one or totally bypass the cat?
If bypassed, how do you satisfy the reading for the two O2 sensors?

Another question:
Does the clogged cat increase the temperature of the engine?

Thanks,
Tony

Gutted cats are completely removed from their housing. Mil Eliminators fool the O2 sensors into not throwing a cel.
