Sounds like a more severe version of what I've got, which eventually threw a Too Lean error code. This means either that the MAF or something is throwing it off, or that the oxygen sensors are bad and it's actually too rich. I'm going to clean the MAF tomorrow (while at the same time putting the stock intake back on to pass smog).
