Yes, I had found the recall and the link to the 66 page I think dealer change out directions. I carried all that in with me and had a conversation with the service manager. After that discussion and looking up the vehicle on "OASIS" they admitted it was covered. I pointed out that in the diagnosis tree the first inspection was visual. Only if the visual failed would they have to do an indepth electrical check. It was obvious where the wires were cracked and where the insulation had already fallen off. I have a print out from them that they have ordered it and it is under warranty.
I tried to press to have the cat's changed but as far as I can tell I am having no problems with them yet.
If I had not found this site I would not have known about the wiring harness recall as I do not think I ever got notification.
I was not kidding in the original post when I said I had read most (maybe not all) of the posts here even the archived ones. After all I am retired and I have plenty of time.
