I've always had awsome luck with BFG's on all of my vehicles in my short time. Wether it be the Mud T/A's on my Jeep to the radial T/A's I had on my very 1st car ('84 Mustang ) and more!

Personally I'm going to run the G-Force T/A KDW-2's on my SVT.

I'm currently running Perelli P6000. I can't say enough about them. Great tread wear, performance is excellent, also has good water channeling. I even got 4 extras that i prolly won't use but they were such a steal.

Personally I like my BFG KDW's, although when I was looking for tires I wanted Michelin "Pilot" sports, but at a $1000.00 a set out the door w/ insurance, they were out of my price range which sucked because I wanted matching tires for my snows For looks the sidewall of the BFG KDW is smooth, none of that "ribbed" disco cladding What are tires trying to be Pontiacs now Then come the ratings, treadwear 300, traction "AA" and temp "A". They have an aggressive tread pattern, especially the KDW2's, those are bad ass! If taken care of somewhat they'll last you a long time. Also someone mentioned Nittos and I had those as well. Mine were the Extreme 450's and outside of the "ribbed" look they were actually great tires, especially the tread pattern and had the same #'s as my KDW's did, but at a fraction of the cost, which is why I bought them at the time.

there are only 4 Kumho made tires worth buying ....

street performance
Ecsta MX
DOT R Compound
Ecsta V700
VictoRacer V700
Rally
R700

the rest of them are cheap non-performing performance tires

I have the RE730s and the Falken Azenis.
Azenis tirewear is high, no rain traction, but #1 in the dry.
The RE 730s are excellent dry and even better in the rain.

Got me a set of Firestone SZ EP's. They sure sound and feel better than the KDW's. I got a full drive out price from Firestone store of $547. That was the same price as TireRack (not to include shipping or installation).

Firestone tried to give me a "complimentary alignment check". I turned them down. I'm old enough to know that Firestone or GoodYear stores don't give things away. They just get you in position for a good old fashioned screwing.

You should have seen the mountain of brake rotors they had behind the store.! The story is the same: Offer the customer the Brake Special and then whack them up for new rotors or drums. Or - Offer them a $49 Special Tune Up and then poke them in the rear for about $168.00 of other items that are needed.

So, anyone, did I get screwed on the Firestone Firehawk SZ EP's (225-50-16 Z rated tires? It was lots of money, but in today's rain they were great. They handle superb. And they are relatively quiet. I see why Corvette owners like them so much.
