Ok my wife has a contour but I am looking for general tire info because I am putting 17" escalade wheels on my nissan hardbody and I see some people are running 17" tires on there contours. I will probably run a 215/45/17 on my nissan because they will tuck when I get bags on it and it is fairly close to the stock height.

Ok now to the questions I want a good performance tire with good tread wear quality ride etc... What tires are most running, I see alot of people running kumho ecsta are they good quality tires? Thanks for helping a ricer!

You aren't a ricer..I love maximas. i am getting kumho's when i get rims...712's not 711's yuk....Good tire for the money IMHO.

I hate the 712 Kumhos... They last forever, but have zero straight line traction. The biggest pain is the huge center water channel that eliminates a good 10-20mm of tread from contacting the ground. I like the Bridgestone RE730 line the most...

agreed. i have the re730's as listed in my sig - they grip very well. wear pretty good too. no complaints from me.

i was going to get the re730's but they cost more w/ my wheel pkg. so i ordered toyo t1-s 215/45/17. i was trying to find a tire that will give me good treadlife and great wet/dry traction in a nonallseason tire. i looked into nitto 555 but they dont make the size i ordered.

oh and i think most get kumho's strictly for price. i'd say their reputation isn't great based on what i can remember from everyone's experiences. you will find some who like them though.

and i wont give my opinion on maximas. haha

What size nittos were you looking at? I found them in a 215/45/17? Whats everyones reaction to the nittos

the nitto 450 comes in 215/45/17 but is an allseason tire which i didn't want.
