Maybe I'm lucky, but my Contour has 166K on it and so far other than the top radiator hose, brake pads and shoes, the AC system and the switch on the tranny IT'S ALL ORIGINAL! It has also been creamed on the driver's side HARD three times! The local body shop made some bucks off of this car! The three repairs added up cost $12K and the car only cost $14K!!!!!

We used to make a circuit that included Amarillo, Midland and Big Spring. We were rockin' west Texas weren't we? Big Springs was a one-nighter at first.
WE were livin' large and stayed at the Motel 6 up on the interstate!
I recall getting in trouble with the only USAF security gaurd out there because I took a 2 x 4 from a demolished barracks building! He saw me get it and made me put it back! That base had been closed at least fifteen years and here I was STEALING a damn 2 x 4! SUCH A THIEF I WAS! I bet I was the highlight of his day! I wonder who he pissed-off to be assigned that job? Talk about the Maytag repairman!
