My '95 GL's transmission went berserk about 4 months ago. It was the "nuetral safety swirct" or the modern named equivelent. In my case it would downshift like crazy after it warmed-up a bit.
The "switch" tells the computer what gear the engine is in at any given moment. It is located on top of the transmission slightly below and to the left of the ignition module (distributor thing.)
It could be your problem as well.
IT DID NOT SHOW UP ON THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER AT FIRST. I learned about it on this forum and after insisting that the shop check again the computer showed the switch as being "out of range."
Good luck!
Hey, how's Big Sprang these days?
I used to play in a rock band at a club that was located out on the old Air Force base. This was back in 1982/83. Some guy rented the old officers club and turned it into a rock-n-roll bar.
I live just east of Dallas in Rockwall.
