Hey.
You're right. It would be more trouble than it's worth. My lenses were yellowing, so I thought I'd just change out everything and put new ones in. It took about 4 hours for 1 and half an hour for the other, since I knew what I had to do.
If you go the new route, make sure you have a dremel. It's infinitely valuable here.

Or just get brighter bulbs!!!
