Figured there's inevitably going to be a topic about it. Let's have the opportunity to complain before it comes.

(Actually on the contrary, I can't wait, since I don't need to drive to classes, and my professors do. )

Well- here's the most recent thing that I've heard: "storm will begin a little later on & pick up by suppertime thru the night - Boston predicts us to get up to 18 ", Manchester, NH says up to 15" - no matter what, it will be a big one!"

My mom is home today (she has a torn rotator cuff), so that came from her, as she is listening to the weather! UGH!

Well, if it's going to snow at all- might as well be a TON so that we can all stay home! hehe! They never cancel work at this place- they'll cancel classes for students, but they rarely tell us employees that we can stay home!

The first part of the storm already hit Plaistow (where Steve works), and is slowly starting here in Manchester!

Good ol UCONN has to be the only school in CT that still has some classes today. They only canceled things after noon. So yeah I decided to catch the bus to go to class instead of walking today. It is really windy and the snow is coming down pretty hard. What also sucks is I know the two teachers I have today will be here, since I saw one alreay, so no more canceled classes for me. they are saying something like 15 to 22 inches now

first teacher didn't show

Well...

I'm sick as a dog.....
Cold as hell here at work.....
Snowing like a bastid here in Woonsocket, RI already.....
Will take me 2.5 hours to get home tonight.....
Will probably NOT make it up my driveway when I get home....
Will have to take the snowblower out there and go to town....
So that I can do it all over again the next friggin morning before going to work.....
Cause I won't be able to work from home cause of this friggin deadline I have for this friggin project...

I'm a friggin cranky, friggin sick, friggin SOB!

Frigg off!

Actually - I'm not that pissed about it. I like the snow. I just don't like driving with everyone else on the highway in the snow.

I had made a post to this and it didn't seem to go through.
pssht

I said something along the lines as I'm used to the snow by now and I kind of enjoy it, both clearing it off and driving in it cuz I'm sick in the head.

There was just a ton of shouting "Woo Hoo" in the hallway, so I checked my e-mail and found this message sent to each student/faculty:

Due to inclement weather, the University (Worcester, MetroWest and Waltham campuses) will be closing at 11:30 a.m. today, February 17, 2003. Essential personnel may be required to remain on campus. Please check with your supervisor if you are unsure if you are considered essential personnel.
Please drive safely.

Yay!!!!

Already started snowing here in Plaistow. It has started to accumulate even. According to weeather.com it will flurry until aroung noon, then turn to snow, then by 6 BLIZZARD! Depending on what storm warning I read, we could get anywhere from 10-25in. If that is the case I will not be here until 7pm. I will be leaving early no matter what the owner says!

my boss is of the opinion that "we're all New Englanders, we can tough it out".
Early release does not happen here unless he suddenly feels he himself can't drive in it.
He's out at a client's for the day, so if he doesn't return at a reasonable time, I'm wondering if the managers will take action and release us. hehe
