World record is 38 degrees, located in New Zealand.
Any downhill grade where our 140-hp Zetec friend could reach 130mph would not even approach the 30's. Even the most severe mountain inclines do good to get into the teens.
That said, though, I'd still like to see this fabled 40 degree grade.

Your thinking of the 0-100-0. For a lllloooonnnngggg while the Cobra was the only street car that could do it in under 14 seconds. A few cars can do it nowadays.

Some guys have gone faster given a good amount of room and the right drag. There is room to go faster
But thats street racing which isn't tolerated on CEG.
that seems awful slow, i hit 130 in my 95GL going downhill
With no chip...no 130 in a Zetec. Besides without some major mods you can't get up to 130.

There is no artifical limiter on the SVTs, they are drag limited to 143mph.
After my mods I've reached redline in 5th at Buttonwillow.

Do you remeber how fast I was going as I slowly crept away from the WRX before passing you the baton?

Was that with the 3L?? Cuz I tried to um floor my car next to a WRX, and I think he floored it and um he beat me real bad. There were 2 people in my car (me and buddy) and just one (him) in his. Once it started, he had about 5 car lengths on me in a matter of seconds. He was slightly modded too.
Anywhere below 50mph, and I think the WRX will pull. But starting at 75mph and up, the CSVT is very capable and should be equal to or even inch away from a WRX.
