read the topic head, in a tour j/k
i've gotten mine up to about 125 the realized how stupid it was so i slowed down. it was not only stupid, but fun. i will never do it again, unless i get that itch

i think mark rowes will do theoretically 172 mph, but is drag limited to some where around 160 mph.

I doubt that on both counts.
Integra speedos must be waaaay off at higher speeds.

When I had the stock rev limiter I would show an indicated 145mph. I am sure with the S/C and a 7600RPM limiter I can hit 155MPH. Anyone that would go over 150mph or so in a 'Tour is asking for trouble. The car is very well designed aerodynamically, but the ante-up is quite higher at those speeds. The air beneath the car becomes crucial and can cause more lift than the car has downforce. Your suspension loses some load and steering is affected. I don't know about you, but I would rather not lose steering at 150mph. I drive WAY TOO FAST most of the time, but I am very cautious not to exceed 120MPH (On a closed track, with an ambulance and fire truck on stand-by ).
BTW- I doubt any 'Tour, regardless of mods, can reach 180MPH. I do not think that the aerodynamics would allow, unless in a vaccuum.

According to car test or one of those similar desktop programs when we plugged the numbers in for the car with estimated HP and Tq output plus taking into account lowering the car and changing the FD ratio it came out to be a theoretical top end of 178 mph. I don't remember if that was RPM or aero driven though. I'm actually thinking in another year or so to take it out to Bonneville and see if I can set a land speed record in it. The class I'm shooting for has a 170 mph unset record yet which would be pretty cool to set in a contour. I've got to look further into the onboard extinguisher requirements though because if it requires an onboard fire supression system it's pretty much out of the question.

hahaha, sorry, the mental picture of a contour in a vacuum just makes me laugh.

My damn gov. cuts out at 112 in my SE. I need a chip. That's probably why I haven't gotten one. 100 is fast enough. My SHO will do 140 I would think. I got her up to 120 and got nervous and backed off. That car is not stable like the Contour is at high speed.
