no, it becomes a booster seat, check out http://www.recaro.com/englisch/index_frames.html then go to products and then child seats for all the details but its pretty impressive. besides, its a recaro i don't know if you have any kids, but if you didn't know, you need a child seat until a kid is about 80 lbs iirc, but that varies from state to state. if my girl is interested in auto x or track days when she gets older it would be perfect for something like that. but i'm going to stop hijacking this thread from the proud father and focus attention back on that fact that he has a beautiful baby, congrats again

interesting. 80lbs still seems a little big. i was definitely using a seat belt like the big boys at around 6 or 7, IIRC.

congrats, man, mine is 13 mons now and i have loved every minute of it... i recomend the recaro baby seat once he's out of the infant seat. its expensive but it grows with baby right up until age 12 thats what i'm getting once i get back to the states
About how much are they??

Now the real fun begins! Trust me, I know. I have four here. Lack of sleep, stinky diapers, and the occasional....I'm hungry, feed me now!!! scream. But it's all worth it. The first time they really smile at you, crawl around getting into everything, and the first time he calls you daddy, you'll want to drop to your knees.
