Though now the CSVT has a larger aftermarket a lot of that has to do with the introduction of the mercury cougar. They are just cars that are severely underrated. How many times do you tell someone....I have an SVT Contour and they go... why did you get a contour...or "a contour??? When I tell my friends at work with their hooked up honda accords and preludes and integra's and all other kinds of shiznit I have a Probe GT...they are like...A Probe???? .same deal. No one understands these are both very capable and very fun cars that handle great and are fairly quick. Just ask the guy with the 2000 prelude SH I walked the other day. What does he say after that...Its still a Probe. My car is technically a mazda with a ford body and interior. Just in case you meant american probe...it is not so american. In my humble opinion the 2.5liter used was most likely the Duratec block however if you can find the article I would be most interested in seeing it.
