No, the only way to program the PATS key yourself is if you have the two original keys. I don't have them... So the only option left was to have a Ford dealer program a key for me. Then I'll also have to get an PATS antenna to receive the signal from the key. It'll cost more money than it's worth.

'98 models only require 1 original PATS key in order to program a new key, later models require 2.

Is the PCM wiring "just" an engine bay loom or does it connect to all of the dash wiring etc?? Also,my car has the earlier traction control with the motor near the expansion tank,the engine going in is the later type without this.My understanding is the TCS is part of the ABS system so we should be ok??
