Deep breaths dude, deep breaths.

I am not American but I live in America but let me give you a little perspective. I was on a train from Dublin to Belfast when I was ~8 or 9 that had a bomb on it. The bomb exploded, injuring IIRC two RUC officers. I am fully aware of the dangers that one grenade, one bomb, one bullet can do. OK ??

I am not disassociating myself with the issue in Heathrow. I do not subscribe to the laissez-faire attitude that some do. I understand in the current environment the feelings that people are having following the grenade incident. What I am saying is that it is unlikely that this is part of a bigger attack. Let the police find out what the guy's intentions are. I'm sure they can be very persuasive in getting answers out of him. Until we have a police report, the speculation just feeds the hysteria nad paranoia of the general public.

If you're insulted by my statements, I apologise but I still hold my beliefs.

Regards & thank you for your service.

i'm sorry to hear about how violence has effected your life so closely, and i would not want you to change your beliefs based on a few posts from a stranger. it is very likely that this was a single wacco running around with the support of a larger organization and i don't remember implying that he was a part of a larger attack, although he very well could have been, remember what was accomplished with a couple of box knives? on this we can agree to disagree without hard feelings, i'm really not sure either way because very little is being released and i am not trying to jump to conclusions like you said, the authorities will sort this out. the reason i brought it up was because it seemed many people where dismissing the anouncements of a hightened state of security and i only wished to point out that there are still people out there who pose a threat if only on a small scale. the sad thing is that people dismiss these small attacks, remember the uss cole? was it 17 or 19 sailors who lost their lives? was it two days or three before it was out of the news? the fact is terrorists will continue to use small, isolated attacks to poke holes in the u.s.' defences and the public phyci (sp). there really are people in the gov't concerned with keeping the general public safe, they're the ones working hard digging to find the info that fuels these code whatevers and i'm sure they would have a very different point of view than some posted here. i'm sure everyone's eyes are bleeding by now so i'm going to stop and go home and take my wife out so i'll see how this has come along tomorrow.
