Does anyone actually think N. Korea is going to launch a missile into CA?  The only thing the code orange BS has proven is that Americans are a bunch of mindless sheep who actually think duct tape and plastic sheets are going to save them from a chem/bio/nuke attack. Unless the threat level hits red, with a detailed prediction of what's going to happen, I'm not going to give it a second thought. I suggest that getting paranoid over what is essentially a CYA warning is giving the terrorists what they want.

I wonder if this is a case of "Let's give people something to do so they don't sit and fret about not being able to do anything." It's like how when someone was having a baby, the doctor would tell the nervous person standing around to go boil some water. The water wasn't for anything, really, it was just so that person would have something to concentrate on.
You know what SLAYS me? This whole thing about people buying up all that bottled water. Does anyone not realize you can get all you want for FREE from the tap? Just wash out your milk cartons and soda bottles! Sheesh!

okay, this plastic bag & duct tape thing sounds pretty rediculus (sp, i know), but i would like to point out to people that several men have been arrested today at english airports under the uk'd terror act, i can't remember the exact number, i think its 4 total now and not all together at the same time. one person had a live grenade in his luggage. maybe it has already been too long since sept 11 01 but let me remind you that there are people who wish to do harm to the average american person. the whole u.s. foreign policy debate still doesn't justify violence to random americans just based on their citizenship. notice that i am not actually stating my opinion of u.s. foreign policy as it is an opinion i do not wish to share.

Please, clear this up to me: what kind of flight were they trying to board in ?? Was that a domestic flight or international ?? If international, where to ??
