This is the type of fear that they've been using to promote the war on Iraq from the begining. Instead of avoiding attacks and diverting them in the long run as well, we're instigating them. Why can't we use the same type of diplomacy we're using with N.Korea.
On topic...the threat level indicator has a couple of uses. Up front it looks like a tool to cover their ass$s in the event another 9/11 happens though. But what is Bush doing to insure we won't have to use a threat level indicator like most of the rest of the world? His seeming love for war (his sure to be everlasting war on terrorism
)will keep us in danger's way for sometime. We can't kill all the people that hate us. Going to war with Iraq won't decrease the threat in the short term or long term.
...and we got Bin Laden posted up chillin in pak or afghan mailing in sound bytes. What a war.
