It looks like your rear window is down all the way...
Why would someone want to lower there car???? Would you want to be seen in something like this...

Actually I'm not really thinking about lowering it all that much, but I want different springs. I dislike the H&R's and the Eibachs due to the fact that their spring rates don't make any sense (as far as performance goes). I'll probably try and get a custom set of springs made. I want some linear springs that have a pretty high rate, but I don't want coilovers. Also I'd only be shooting for about a 1" drop. Maybe Hypercoil or someone would do a run of springs for the Contour (though I doubt their would be too much interest in a set of fairly functional street/racing springs). Most people are in it for the looks, but I want the performance out of them.
I might concider coilovers for ease of use, but I'd probably change the size and rate of springs that they come with.

Lowering a Tour should be thought about anyway =\ Looks as if you're in a city? Hehe I used to drive to work over the summer and I found myself all over the road avoiding holes, bumps, and crap that would damage the U.C. of my car =\ I follow a specific Rule! SLAM WITH CAUTION!
