Every ATX already comes with an oil-water cooler.
Well I'm almost 99.9% positive that every car has an ATX transmission oil cooler, at least if it is a reputable car brand. YUGO???
They are incorporated into the stock radiator tank in most cases. Any ATX without one would fail relatively quickly due to high temp break down of oil and clutches.
Maybe your transmission oil cooler helped make the parasitic losses lower on your engine so you were able to beat those much quicker cars....
