Actually...it is possible to shift out of first at 44 and out of second at 74 with a zetec .I know trust me when i first got my car i was just learning how to dhift an atx manually and sometimes forget to shift out when racing(at the track...duh)Thank god for the rev limiter!!!.I don't know about duratec engine capabilities but i do know that zetecs rev high anyways. When 2nd gear shifts out at 65 the engine is reving so high it sounds like its gonna explode.
Its ok though Its a tough little engine...it likes the abuse
