Thanks for the reply! I did recently have the fluid flushed in the tranny. I'll check the connections to see if that could be the problem. It seems like the tranny will start shifting hard 1st to 2nd after alot of stop and go traffic. One time it did this and i stopped to fill up with gas and after it started shifting normally. Maybe that was enough time for it to cool down. If it's not an electrical problem, what are the chances that the repair will require extensive work or replacement of the tranny?
I have replaced the PCV valve and checked for vac leaks--none found. It will idle rough at times, so I may replace or clean the IAC. But I don't think the IAC would cause the diagnostic codes that it's showing for the lean condition. Would the EGR cause them? It just seems that both 02 sensors wouldn't go at the same time.
1998 Contour V6, ATX Doesn't even have power windows or locks,but it was my first new car. Even though I can now afford more, I still enjoy driving it!
