I have a 99 se with a zetec. When I come to a stop, the car will not always downshift to first gear. (Intermitant)
At times it will want to stall but will usually catch itself and stay running. All the upshifts are smooth.
I'am thinking that it might be the downshift selinoid or the vehicle speed sensor not telling the computer what to do. Am I even close...
Did anyone have this problem and what was the outcome?????
