About a month ago my top radiator hose broke. Water went EVERYWHERE under the hood. After I replaced it the engine has been missing REALLY badly. Although it got better as the engine compartment dried out it still misses under a load like acceleration.

I have noticed that it is a BIT (not a lot) better after I took the plug wires out of the little loom that holds them together at the end of the valve cover near the distributor.

Before I go buy a second set of plug wires (the current ones have been on the car approx. 50K) can anyone think of anything else that could cause this?

I removed the "distributor" module and made sure that all the connections were clean and dry.
