Ford did not tell you that, your Ford
dealer did. There is a difference.
go to
www.sema.org and read everyhting related to the Magnussen-Moss act. then go back to your dealer. They have to prove that the intake caused the failure. Now it is possible that it did, depending on exactly what you have done, and how you have done it. If it is the fault of the aftermarket intake, then you are 100% responsible for the repair, not Ford, or your Ford dealer. But, if the intake (or other aftermarket modification) is not the cause of the problem, then it should be covered under warranty.
. the only 2 mods that have anything to do with my catalytic converter are my intake and my exuast.. 3 inch intake and 2 1/4 piping for my exaust.. FORD TRIED TO TELL ME... THAT MY WARRENTY IS VOIDED(8yr/80,000 mile)FOR MY CAT BECAUSE OF MY INTAKE???? 
I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT.. BUT it sounds like total BS to me 
.. i need to know what to tell them when i go to get my car.. they tested it and said it was the catalysts...or whatever..and somethign about my intake changing my a/f ratio or something.. so they couldnt change it.. ? and he told me that it cost like 800 bucks to get the catayists from FORD????
