I was driving to get my car washed today and saw a black SVT. I had a rediculously large rear spoiler and must have had a 300 pound stereo system in the back as it was sagging pretty low. Oh yeah I also saw a silver SVT in Durham a while back on a sunday evening in the store24 parking lot infront of the tanning place. it had vanity plates i think nrk-****(for privacy). Well my jet hot coating is holding up quite nicely so far and i hope it stays that way. CobraR, whens the svt come out of storage? Later Steve

I'll answer for him since he most likely won't see this message.

We just went to visit her yesterday.
Seeing something that clean in all this salt brought tears to my eyes.
The car jacket holds up flawlessly.
She started right up too.
We also put the vanity plates on because we didn't receive them until after it got put into storage.

Huh?
The sweetest thing about getting her back in the spring is I get to finally drive an SVT.

d'oh in hindsight, I should have snapped a photo of his rotors. we just sat and marvelled at how shiny they still are. you'd think they'd rust a bit from sitting. heck no. that's one of the guarantees with the car jacket. it keeps moisture out. it's so frickin sweet. haha can't talk it up enough.

Why'd you take off the front plate bracket? Is it going back on?
I'd love to take mine off, but NH law requires it. I'd like to have it on the inside of the windshield (upper passenger?) somewhere.

i am working ona new front plate mount for the SVT's it will hang the palte below the bumper infront of the lower opening. the bracket will be completely hidden. so it will looklike the plate is floating in front of the opening.

but then what are you going to do with the ugly three holes you will have for the old bracket.... those "covers" just don't do it IMHO. friggin front bumpers RUIN every friggin car!

Mike plans on getting the holes filled in and front bumper repainted this spring along with some other tiny paintwork I believe. not sure what he's going to do about the front license plate just yet.

I think some people have actually put molds in or something, sealing the holes and hiding them (like caulking or something, I dunno, my brain's dead) then repainting the bumper so the holes are all completely gone. The covers don't do it for me either but it's a much more cost-effective fix.
Kim, that car cover is such !! My car came with a cheapo cover the previous owner used and scratched the paint all around; I threw it away. The car sits outside under the elements when I'm not home.
