Mine were all stock 6x8s when I replaced them w/ Pioneer 6x8s...and according to Crutchfield, it was the same way in a 96 Contour...I don't know where you guys are getting this 5x7 stuff unless that is in the NON-premium system...
Thank you, Ford Contour's are 6x8's but 5x7' will fit.
As far as I know Ford and Mazda are the only two here that even use 6x8 speakers.
Check out http://www.crutchfield.com and click on "What Fit's my Car" it will show you what they have in the way of 6x8 speakers not 5x7's.
