That, and all the problems I've been hearing existing owners having, and I decided to pass. The Corvette just won JD Power's Initial Quality Award for sports cars, and its set up to be very low maintenance. The most costly maintenance item will be replacing the tires (295s aren't cheap). Plus, the Z06 smokes the M3 in just about every performance test, yet I will be picking it up for $6,000 less than the M3 would have cost me.
