One place started work on it. I've taken it, now, to two dealers, though to see if they would do it. You get different answers from different dealers. It seems to all depend on where you go and who you get I think.

The reason I did not let them put it back together is because, one I wanted my car back. I was paying $40 a day on a rental and they were sitting on it for three days and all they had come up with was that the shifter was broke (was in for two issues), and had taken the defroster vent out of the dash.

3 full days. What the hell? I asked them what the holdup was and they said they were low on techs because eveyone was going on vacation over the summer. Hence, they couldn't get much done on my car. Also, this is the second time I had brought my car to this dealer and left it (Russ Milne) for the dash recall. At that point I told them to give me my car back and reschedule me for a less busy period in the future for them to finish work on the car. Well, they had my phone number which is my cell, which I always keep on me, registers missed calls, and that has voicemail and never did I receive a call, get a VM msg, or get mailed anything about finishing the work they had started.

So what now? Contact the owner of the dealership? That's worked for me in the past with another dealer. Contact BBB? Write a letter/contact Blue Oval?

Thanks,
-Bill
P.S. Are there *any* good Ford dealers in out area? I've completely had it with these three. (Russ Milne, Alan, and Jerome-Duncan) I've heard some good reports about Huntington in Rochester Hills, but I have heard they've screwed up some major things too.
