Done...LOL....Hey if you are getting someone to make one, check to see if they will take it into the fenderwell...
I have already built my short ram but future plans include cleaning it up and then extending it into the fender.
Make sure that you keep us up to date and take pics of each process from design down to building and then in car.

I will send pics to you in your email because i don't have a host site to post the pics on the forum...If thats ok It is going slow but as soon as i get some change i will finish building. I am excited...I want to put aluminized steel tubing under the hood painted inside and out with ceramic based paint(duplicolor) for heat dispersment because of course pvc is bad for a few reasons. Although,I just think it would be just as efficiant if i use pvc in the fender going all the way down into the bumper about 6 inches behind the fog light hole.Heat doesn't reach in there anyways and it will save me about 30 bucks...I know its the cheep way out but no one is going to see into the fender anyways. It will yield the same results as the aluminized pipe i would imagine. Did you happen to see the link to the web site that i put up on how to make it?

Do you remember seeing the prototype of the streetflight CAI...well its basically the same.Actually the tubing that i used, joins almost exactly at the same spot except it doesn't connect directly to the valve cover breather like the street flight did(it was welded or something) anyhow.....Directly beneath the MAF is that main bolt that is attached to the subframe(if thats what you wanna call it), its the same place that the CTA motorsports intake attaches to. I had to make a little bracket to fit but anyone with half a brain could do that.As far as the fender piping goes...There is a 90 degree elbow that goes directly down(its a lot of pipe too into the bumper about 6 inches from the fog light hole. So far thats where i have stopped. I need to find a way to secure the intake in tight...i don't want the thing bouncing up and down everytime i hit a bump. Its going to have great results i think. If you look under your car, behind the drivers side fog you will notice a square cut out that allows you to see up inside. Well the filter sits pretty close to that...almost directly over it. Ill help ya if you really need it

Well, according to a lot of people on the boards...what i am about to tell you is known as the ricer method of making an intake...Don't believe that man i promise you will be happy with this when you get it done. Ok I am useing 3" piping from JCwhitney.. Part #81EH3036T. Its a mandrel bent 180 degree pipe thats 18" inches long but when cut in half...it is of course twice that length. I am useing that type of pipe because it is made for exhaust systems which means it is coated to protect from rust and because it has all the bends i need already there for me to use. It is a little heavier than a normal intake pipe but it works the same. After you paint it with the paint i mentioned earlier (duplicolor, cast aluminum color)....It will look exactly like an AEM intake...tell the guy at the shop to go suck an egg. Anyways, i had planned on buying two of them because it took one to get the pipe just to the fender wall!!!!. It is most certainly going to take another one to reach all the way down into the bumper. Thats why i have thought about using PVC in the fenderwall. The one pipe reaches perfectly into the fenderwall and bends at the perfect 90 degre angle, so that makes it a lot easier. Here is a website that explains it...yeah i know its a dumb Del-sol but you get the picture. http://www.teamdelsol.com/howto/-coldair/diycoldair.htm I hope that helps you out.
