Well, according to a lot of people on the boards...what i am about to tell you is known as the ricer method of making an intake...Don't believe that man i promise you will be happy with this when you get it done. Ok I am useing 3" piping from JCwhitney.. Part #81EH3036T. Its a mandrel bent 180 degree pipe thats 18" inches long but when cut in half...it is of course twice that length. I am useing that type of pipe because it is made for exhaust systems which means it is coated to protect from rust and because it has all the bends i need already there for me to use. It is a little heavier than a normal intake pipe but it works the same. After you paint it with the paint i mentioned earlier (duplicolor, cast aluminum color)....It will look exactly like an AEM intake...tell the guy at the shop to go suck an egg. Anyways, i had planned on buying two of them because it took one to get the pipe just to the fender wall!!!!. It is most certainly going to take another one to reach all the way down into the bumper. Thats why i have thought about using PVC in the fenderwall. The one pipe reaches perfectly into the fenderwall and bends at the perfect 90 degre angle, so that makes it a lot easier. Here is a website that explains it...yeah i know its a dumb Del-sol but you get the picture. http://www.teamdelsol.com/howto/-coldair/diycoldair.htm I hope that helps you out.
