Old thread, but probably the best on hooking up an oil pressure guage.
I have a couple questions: 1) Anyone know what size fittings are needed to thread into the block? I'd be going into home depot completely blind at this point.
2) If I'm understanding this correctly, a hose is what we're connecting here, and oil goes up the hose to the oil pressure guage, so does that mean we need to add a little bit more oil to the engine on the next oil change to compensate? Is the amount of oil used here small enough not to make a difference?

I have it written down at home but I think it's a 3/8 to 1/4 fitting. On the end of that you'll need a 1/4 elbow. No extra oil needed.

Also ran 1/4 copper tubing around the block and exhaust manifolds. Plastic tubing comes with the gauge. Then before you run it into the cabin a 1/4 compression fitting is used to join the copper and plastic. Looks like this but obviously this is larger but you get the point.

Drilled a fat right through the black. Hit a couple pistons. Ah it will only lighten them. Seriously though it's an oil galley plug. The only one that should be used since the head galley isn't accurate.

Gotta go to Menards, Home Depot or Lowes. Had to go to Menards for the 1/4 to 1/4 compression fitting. HD only had 1/8.

Okay go to that ACE Hardware in B.F. with the funny name. Smaller places might actually have it.
