Incorrect.
The oil feed to the engine is a SYSTEM. So if you loose the bottom end, oil pressure drops everywhere.
Like I have been saying. It's fine to tap the head for a pressure signal, but it's not the true pressure reading for the bottom end (where our historical problems exist) so you don't see the true main and rod bearing pressures.
Depending on how the oil feed is split from the pump, a drop in the bottom end may not be as noticeble when measuring from up top as it is from down below.
All I am trying to say is that you want to watch the oil pressure where the problems occur, not from the other end of the engine........
