Maybe the clips are bad from last time the wheel bearing collapse? If that's the case, can I just buy the clips or is that part of the steering knuckle?

Eitherway, I guess it's safer to get the whole steering knuckle assy after this one has wasted two bearings.

You can only change one of the two clips with the hub in the bearing. The clips MUST be renewed at a bearing change.

I replaced my left front bearing on my 95 SE and discovered that the hub was chewed up on one end. I replaced it( to the tune of $165) It could have been reused if it were not fot this. The outer bearing race is around 2" wide, but the inner race is two pieces and both need a good surface to be pressed on to .In my opinion, the only way you can really see the damage to the hub is when it is apart.

I just ordered a front wheel bearing for my 95 SE from www.fordpartsonline.com for $36.52. I had the other side replaced in June for about $145. This time I'll do it myself, but have a shop press out/in the bearing.
