i would just like to brag a little about my cheap '97 Mystique zetec auto. it just hit 100K miles. it runs like a danm top. it still has the original exhaust, wheel bearings, timing belt, water pump, etc. nothing has been changed but the battery. the only thing i can complain about are the rattly sway bar bushings. to top it off, it is a very rare color (portofino blue) with the factory 15" directional alloys with dunlops. very cool looking car. to ice the cake, i paid only $4500 for the thing from my mother in law with just 72K on it. of course it has a factory tach, rear dome light, and the usual only mercury stuff (read and weep contour owners). i used this forum to find the wheels and tires for cheap and have had nothing but good luck with them. they are very noisy though (dunlop d60 a2's). i am going to put new plugs, wires, and coil on it this weekend along with a new temp sending unit. but i just wanted to brag a little. a nice little otherwise slow but sure-footed car that is very cheap to operate and very sporty looking. anyone else have good luck like this?
