Has anyone heard anything from DtecTuning recently? I am starting to get concerned because they missed their schedule and have not provided an explanation or responded to my email yet.
Background:
5 Feb 03: Paid DtecTuning $72.99 via PayPal
6 Feb 03: Received e-mail from Chad stating that the shields are finished but require coating. ??I should have your shield done and ready to ship by the middle of next week. I will e-mail you on Monday and let you know for sure when it will ship. Then you will receive a third e-mail with a UPS tracking number."
10 Feb 03: Its Monday, no email from Chad.
13 Feb 03: Sent email asking if any progress on my heat shield.
15 Feb 03: No reply to email yet. Decided to post this here to see if anyone else is having similar experience.
For the Record, I know that starting a new product line can be a very stressful event for a small business. There are always little details and delays that don??t show up until it comes time to deliver. Given this, I am willing to be very generous with my patience, a week or so or even more of a delay is not going to affect my project one bit, its all for fun anyway.
However, there is no excuse when a business misses a date and does not at least acknowledge it to the customer - even if that date is just for communications (??I will e-mail you on Monday?)
Chad, I believe you have every intent of shipping my heatshield and probably have a pretty good reason for any delays. Despite this, if you don??t let your paid customers know what is going on, it is bound to raise suspicion. Please relieve my concerns by letting me (and the rest of CEG) know what is happening.
