All this 'common person' has to do is use common sense and look at the two engines you get a pretty good idea. Otherwise, if you can't do that, you shouldn't ask those kinds of question.

1) the 3.0L Yamahammer is bigger than the 2.5L/3.0L V6. IIRC the Yamaha is a 90 degree V6 and the 2.5/3.0L is a 60.
2)with a LITTLE research you will find out they have completely different bell housing patterns.
