Basically, it makes a leaky sealed box that makes the driver think its in a larger box than it is. they work pretty well, but no better than some fiberfill in most cases.

Well my box is fiber filled already, so I guess this wouldn't provide any additional benifts. If this just makes a leaky box, am I correct in assuming I would lose SQ and not reach any lower frequencies?
Actually, it should improve the bass response, but not substantially enough to pay for it, IMO. Building a bigger bow would essentially have the same result.
